The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the novice remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
