19 of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hardcourt

A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with success over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.

The Russian, a ex- world number one, has endured a challenging season, managing just a single victory at the big events and undergoing a setback at the New York tournament.

The player's varied form on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in specific - led to him dropping out of the top ten and finally separating with former mentor Cervara.

Currently working with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently progressed in the recent weeks - climaxing in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Corentin Moutet.

This marks the player's maiden trophy after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard surface after March of the previous year.

Victory also indicates Medvedev has achieved 21 championships at 21 various competitions.

"It's the first time I have attended a event with my two daughters simultaneously, so to secure a trophy is really nice," said tennis professional Medvedev.

"This victory is in dedication of my child my daughter, because the first title I won when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."

The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six finals, comprising in that event previously this season.

Medvedev's defensive approach and recurring emotional displays on court had led commentators to wonder if his capacity to compete at the highest level was over.

However the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, making an effort to approach the net and compete positively, supported by an enhanced service.

Medvedev recovered from a break down in the opening set against the tricky opponent, winning 4 of the final five points to gain the advantage.

Both players traded breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, striving for his first ATP Tour championship, took control to create a third set.

The opponent saved 4 initial opportunities in a tight third set before Medvedev broke to fifteen to secure the win.

Appropriately, he earned victory with a rally at the net, with Moutet incapable to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
